We had an extremely exciting and short bear season in Arkansas. Sarah and I began baiting about ten days before the season opened and the bears were hitting the baits right off the bat. We knew it was probably going to be a good season but also knew that the acorns were close to falling. Leading up to opening day, we heard a lot of people say that the acorns dropped and the bears had stopped hitting their bait. For some reason, that was not the case at our bait sites. We were getting hit every day. Opening day couldn't come soon enough. We were praying that the acorns hadn't dropped. Here is a short film we made about our experience bear hunting this year. We named it "The Payoff" because it feels like the biggest reward when you kill an animal that you have worked so hard for. Even though the actual hunt didn't last all that long, there is a lot of work when it comes to bear hunting. From finding and getting to a remote location, to constantly running baits. Hope you enjoy it...
