First Ducks of the Season

My dad and I were lucky enough to go on our first duck hunt of the year. It was definitely a success. We were absolutely covered up with mallards and limited out in about an hour. We had a great time and can't wait to get back out there and do it again...

great shots! Lately I've been thinking a lot about learning to hunt birds...I'm mostly an deer/archery guy, wing shooting looks like a blast, plus, it'll give me a good supply of feathers to tie flys!

Thanks Tom! I'm mostly a bow hunter also. Duck hunting can be a good change when you've been sitting in a tree stand all fall.

Trey- You're exactly right! Thanks Man!

Drew- Yes, this was in Kansas. The duck hunting is awesome up there. I hunted up there a few times last year and once so far this year. We've limited out every time. It's never a guarantee, but it sure is a great place to slay some green heads!
